In February of 2021, Matt associate-produced a new feature, The Willowbrook, a thriller by writer/director Zach Koepp. Set in the cold isolation of a rural, Midwestern winter, a renowned health and wellness influencer invites one of her recently overdosed followers, Jordan, to seek recovery at her small town manor. Soon after, Jordan realizes the dark world existing within the manor is not the image she–nor millions of others–perceived from the internet.
Matt also worked as 2nd Assistant Director on this exciting shoot. Temperatures reached -30 degrees in Lake Okoboji, IA as the incredibly resourceful crew worked through the elements to build suspense, dread, and some dark humor in telling this story. The film is currently in post-production.
