ABOUT

With an eye for film and an ear for language, I have been performing since the age of 6. Whether doing impressions in school, Shakespeare at local New Hampshire theatres, or making short films on an 8mm, I was always going to be an actor.

After over a decade of working professionally in Chicago Theatre, I moved to LA to grow my presence in film and television, both as an actor and producer. A lifelong passion for the dramatic arts has inspired me to tell stories from all angles, whether inhabiting the characters and exploring their journeys onscreen, or facilitating a team of storytellers from behind the scenes.

A life full of curiosity, discovery, and introspection has also taken me beyond stages & screens and into writing, directing, modeling, and education. I have always believed that stories are meant to be shared, interpreted, felt, and shared again. Anything to share the story.

“Heart and mind sharp and receptive”

“Matt seems to know instinctively that thorough preparation is the key to letting one's talent shine through. Early to rehearsals, nearly off-book from day one, heart and mind sharp and receptive, fully present in every moment, incorporating direction easily and fluently, Matt never stopped working and exploring. He soaks things up like a sponge. He also demonstrates a wonderfully relaxed physical focus, voice clear as a bell, and his performance soared in Ah, Wilderness!  He's also one of the nicest guys going -- smart, funny, generous, winningly modest and kind. A breed apart.” - Nicholas Hormann, Actor (LA/ NY)
